C‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍hapter 3: Theological Perspective (30 pages). In this chapter, the student presents theological perspectives or her understanding of the research problem or topic. It provides a basis for understanding why the project matters for a Ministry Project Christian Audience and undergirds and shapes the Ministry Project. It should: Investigate aspects of scripture, the history of theology, and his or her ecclesial tradition that informs the approach to the Ministry Project; . Using specific and relevant passages of Scripture with careful attention to issues of context and interpretation ( generally exegesis of 2-3 pages of several verses each)- supported by commentaries, monographs, peer-reviewed articles, and related research literature. Note: This exegetical work will provide the readers with an understanding of how the students interprets Scripture. This will require his or her attention to the elements of the Biblical interpretation course as well as the Old and New Testament courses. Students should provide specific sections of this Chapter for these exegetical presentations and be sure to note alternative views and reasons for their interpretive preferences. . Supporting the theology of the relevant topic by engaging 2 to 3 key theologians and/ or theological traditions; Note: Students should connect figures/theological schools, themes, and methods covered in the Theology Survey course. . Comparing and contrasting key theological positions, relevant to the topic from at least two different chu‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍rch/denominational and /or non-profit groups from the students own tradition/denomination/non-profit group.; and . Reflecting on the theological issues embedded in the context of the Ministry Project as well as its execution. . When you do the Introduction, if you use what they say this chapter is about, just make sure you put where you got it from. And it will be: South University Department of Theology Doctor of Ministry Final Project Handbook rev. July 2020, if you use what I started out about the chapter. I will send you a sample of what the exegetical should look like. This Chapter needs to follow the outline I am giving you. Follow this Outline: 1. Introduction 2. Theological Perspectives 3. Perspectives on Intergenerational Ministry Analysis of 2-3 ministry/organizations currently involved in this form of ministry and their theology. .
